Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, and I'm a sweet, loyal best friend looking for my forever home. I'm a Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix, weighing in at about 38lbs, and my estimated birthday is May 14, 2023. I was rescued from a gas station and given a second chance at life, and I'm making the most of it! My foster family says I'm a wonderful house guest – I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and I love having a routine. I'm also pretty smart and food-motivated, so I'm always eager to learn new things, especially if there are snacks involved! My favorite thing is spending time with my people, whether we're going for a walk, running errands, or just relaxing at home. I have a playful side, but I'm just as content soaking up affection. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a little unsure, but with patience and love, I've been gaining confidence every day.
Ideal Home
I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new canine friends. Larger dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands that.

I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
I am kennel and potty trained. I'm food-motivated and eager to learn, so I'm a great candidate for continued training!

Transportation
I am located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and we coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will be able to track your dog's transport using the Life360 app and receive updates.
