Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, though she's a bit shy at first. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and while her brother has found his home, Trix needed extra time in foster care to build confidence. She was significantly undersocialized early in life, and her baseline is fear of humans. However, she has never shown any reactivity, simply looking for a safe place to hide when unsure. Trix is gentle, quiet, and incredibly observant, picking things up quickly. With patience and trust-building, she softens and enjoys playing with toys, running with other dogs, and cuddling on the couch.
Ideal Home
Trix will need a home where someone is around more often than not, as she's still a puppy and building trust takes time and consistency. She is not a ready-made confident dog and requires patience, compassion, and commitment.
Ongoing Health
Trix is spayed and has no known health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Trix is housebroken, loves her crate, and is learning to walk on a leash. She has been around kids and is shy at first. She is very quiet. Her history with cats is unknown. She will need continued socialization and confidence-building.
