Mocha

Hello, I'm Mocha! I'm an adorable puppy with a beautiful brindle coat and lots of white markings, including a little white tip on my tail that will curl. My foster mom tells me how pretty I am all the time! I love being with my people and the other foster dog in the house. My favorite thing is following my foster mom around or curling up by her while she works from home. I'm working on potty training and have a great teacher in the other foster dog who has shown me the ropes. Given my size, I still need to go out frequently, but I haven't had any recent accidents in the house. My foster mom is very proud of how quickly I've caught on to potty training, and soon I'll be able to let her know when I need to go out!

Since I love being with my people, I'm still learning that my kennel is my safe space. I'm getting better at settling in my kennel more each day, but this is a work in progress for me. At night, I mostly sleep in my kennel. Sometimes my foster mom lets me sleep with her after my early morning potty break, and I love snuggling with her for a couple of hours or for naps. I already know how to sit and play fetch! I'm learning to "leave it" and how to walk nicely on a leash (there are so many interesting smells, so I don't always walk in straight lines yet!). Since I'm just a wee one, I would benefit from obedience training. My foster mom thinks I'm really smart and that I pick things up quickly from watching the older foster dog. Therefore, I would love to learn more and bond with my new forever family through obedience training. I love praise from my foster mom and am happy to do tricks for treats! I haven't met any kids yet, but I know I would love them! Since I am young, I am still mouthy and my tiny puppy teeth are sharp.

I currently live with a 2-year-old female foster dog that I really look up to. I love when she plays with me and lets me snuggle with her. I am a very playful and tenacious puppy. I will be submissive with my foster sister if we play too hard or if I push her too much, as I am learning boundaries. I love to chase blowing leaves in the yard, chase my foster sister, and play fetch with my penguin ball. I've gotten really good at bringing the ball back to my foster mom! I am also really good at checking in and coming back to my foster mom as I explore the yard. I love to play hard and go for walks for a couple of hours each day to drain my energy so I can cuddle and take a long nap.

Ideal Home

I would love to live with an active family that will channel my energy with activities like playing fetch and going for walks. My interests will grow as I grow up. I love people being around, and since I am learning to be crate trained, I would love a family that is home to take me out regularly.

Training & Support

I am working on potty training and kennel training. I am learning to "leave it" and how to walk nicely on a leash. I would benefit from continued obedience training. I am still mouthy due to my age.
