Named after the booming fireworks of the Fourth of July, Boomer may have a big name, but he's actually the calm, gentle sweetheart of his litter. Born on May 16th, 2026, at just 8 weeks old, this handsome Black Lab and German Shepherd mix is happiest when he's curled up in someone's arms, soaking up all the love he can get. Boomer came into rescue with his siblings after they were removed from their young mother, who simply didn't know how to nurse them. Since then, he has flourished in foster care, where he has discovered that life is full of cozy naps, loving people, and plenty of belly rubs. While his siblings are busy playing, Boomer is often content to take things at his own pace. He enjoys romping around with the other puppies, but if given the choice, he'd much rather snuggle with his foster family or stretch out for a long, peaceful nap. He's the kind of puppy who loves to be held and makes every cuddle feel extra special. Boomer has a handsome black coat with adorable white socks and a white-tipped tail that happily wags whenever someone comes to say hello. He also loves chew toys and rope toys and enjoys a good play session before settling in for another cuddle. Boomer has a twin sister, Indy, who is also looking for her forever family. While they would love to be adopted together, they are each ready to bring joy and unconditional love to a family of their own. Boomer loves children and gets along beautifully with other puppies and dogs. He's also friendly with the foster family's cats, making him a wonderful fit for a variety of homes.

Boomer is working hard on crate training, potty training, and leash training. He's learning that the grass is the perfect place to potty and is doing wonderfully. One of his favorite parts of the day is heading outside for potty breaks, then relaxing in the warm sunshine afterward while proudly soaking up every "Good boy!" from his foster family.
