Shika is an Austrian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler mix) weighing around 10lbs, with an estimated birthday of March 19, 2026. She began her life on the streets with her mom and siblings, facing daily challenges to survive. Fortunately, they were rescued and brought to safety, giving Shika a chance at a brighter future. Now, this sweet girl is safe, loved, and eagerly awaiting a forever family to call her own.
Shika is as sweet as can be! She's a playful and loving puppy, radiating a joy that's sure to bring smiles and laughter. Whether she's energetically exploring something new, romping during playtime, or snuggling in for cuddles, Shika has a special way of melting hearts.

- An alteration contract needs to be signed by the adopter to complete the adoption.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

Transportation
Shika is located in Houston, TX, and out-of-state transport is available for an additional fee.
