Meet Tucan - Playful, Smart & Ready for His Forever Home!
Tucan's story is one of resilience. He was found waiting patiently outside a hotel, a rusty choke chain around his neck, a clear sign of abandonment. But Tucan's spirit is unbroken! He's now healthy, joyful, and incredibly eager to find a loving, committed adopter.
Tucan is a fantastic companion for those who love an active lifestyle – think hiking, long walks, and shared adventures! He's a big, strong boy with a high play drive, so he'll thrive with a handler who understands how to channel that energy effectively. Despite his exuberance, Tucan is also incredibly affectionate and looks to his person for guidance. He's comfortable around many dogs of different sizes and breeds, proving himself to be quite social. What truly shines about Tucan is his desire to connect with people; he genuinely enjoys building bonds and seeks out that special connection. He's not the best fit for first-time dog owners unless they are deeply committed to learning training techniques. Tucan needs an owner dedicated to meeting his physical and mental needs. Once his energy is properly channeled, he's a champion cuddler, happy to relax by your side.

Transportation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We work with flight companions to transport our dogs to adopters in the US and Canada. Approved adopters will meet their new companions at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion isn't available, dogs may fly into the US and be met at the Peace Arch Park on the border.
