Meet Cleo! This gorgeous 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix is an absolute angel who has overcome so much. After being abandoned and then raising a litter of puppies, Cleo bravely battled heartworms and emerged victorious. Now, it's her turn to find a loving, forever home!
Cleo is a young, playful, and energetic girl who loves making new doggy friends. Her sweet and joyful personality makes her a delight to be around. She's house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Cleo would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard, as she's quite the talented jumper and can clear a 4-foot fence! She's looking for a family ready to offer her the love and stability she deserves. Because she can be a little unsure when left alone for extended periods, a family who can help her build confidence and show her that being apart doesn't mean abandonment will be the best fit. She hasn't been tested with cats and shows a bit too much interest in them from afar. Due to her size and playful nature, older children would be ideal. Cleo also gets excited by bicycles and motorcycles, so she'll need a confident handler who can manage her on walks.
Ongoing Health
Cleo has successfully completed her heartworm treatment. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and have been cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport.
Training & Support
Cleo is house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. She may need continued support in building confidence when left alone and managing her excitement around bicycles and motorcycles.

Transporation
Cleo is located in South Mississippi. We welcome local and out-of-town adopters. Virtual meet-and-greets are available for out-of-town adopters, and we can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. Transport to the city mentioned in this listing is available every 2-3 weeks and is included in the adoption fee. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
