Ridge is a bright, sunny, and social 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a hoarding situation. Despite his past, Ridge is a playful and gregarious pup who is genuinely happy to be here. He enjoys the company of people, other dogs, and is even good with cats! Ridge is still a puppy, but he's a large and opinionated one who is growing into a very large and opinionated adult dog. He's already tall and still growing, so his adopter needs to understand the Anatolian Shepherd breed and be ready to provide consistent structure.
Ridge has a fantastic outlook on life – he thinks dogs are fun, people are useful, cats are acceptable, and that the Roomba is a demonic floor creature that should not be trusted! Because he is young, big, and still mastering his coordination and brainpower, we are recommending him for a home with children over 10 years old.
Ideal Home
Ridge will thrive in a home with a fenced yard and requires space to play. He is not suited for apartment living or a casual leash-walking-only lifestyle. Adopters should be prepared for a very large adult dog and understand the Anatolian Shepherd breed.
