Pretzel is an absolutely charming 1-2 year old bully mix, weighing around 72 lbs. He's a big boy with a heart full of puppy energy and a face that will melt yours, especially with those wonderfully unique ears and a head tilt that could win awards. He's smart, eager to please, and incredibly people-oriented, always looking to his person for guidance and connection. Pretzel is a soft, sweet soul who will have you completely on his team in no time. He's not stubborn; he's a learner who thrives with positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved!
Ideal Home
Pretzel is like a puppy in a big body, so he can occasionally jump up and get a bit mouthy when excited. While he's never trying to hurt anyone, this playful behavior would benefit from structure, redirection, and consistency from a confident handler. He pulls on leash, especially when meeting new dogs, and would do best with someone who can guide him and help him stay focused. He can be a bit pushy with other dogs as he learns boundaries, so he would thrive in a home with a medium-energy dog who can tolerate his learning curve and help show him appropriate play. If you have cats, we're happy to arrange a "Kitty Committee Sleepover" to see how they all get along!
Ongoing Health
Pretzel is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, Rabies, and deworming. He is microchipped and will receive a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Pretzel already knows how to sit and is highly food-motivated, making training a fun and effective process. With continued positive reinforcement and consistency, his "sit" command can become a valuable tool for him to settle and make good choices. He's learning leash manners and social cues with other dogs, and with guidance, he'll become a fantastic walking companion and a well-adjusted friend to other canines.

Pretzel is located at our Texas facility. We offer nationwide transport via our USDA-certified rescue transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You can track his journey in real-time, receive photo updates, and connect with other adopters on a private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
