Arron is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix with the heart of a gentle giant. He's affectionate, protective, and surprisingly cat-like in how he’ll rub against you! Arron is great around strangers and loves spending time outdoors. He's a high-energy boy who is also house-trained, crate-trained, and non-destructive in the home. He's also dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and walks wonderfully on a leash, though he can get excited when leaving his kennel and may pull initially. Arron adores all toys, especially stuffed animals, and loves to play with them. He’s also a big-time counter surfer, so keep your snacks out of reach! He knows no tricks but is eager to please and enjoys treats – just be mindful as he can playfully put your hand in his mouth to get them, though he never bites down.

Arron would thrive in a home that can keep up with his high energy and provides plenty of opportunities for him to be outside.
Ongoing Health
Arron is current on vaccinations, licensed, and microchipped. He has been heartworm tested and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be spayed/neutered prior to his finalized adoption.
Training & Support
Arron knows he is potty-trained and crate-trained. He does need some guidance on his counter-surfing habit. He knows no tricks, so positive reinforcement and treat-based training would be a great way to build his repertoire!

- All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS).
- All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption.
- Arron has received a behavior assessment to determine his initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
- The adoption fee for adult dogs (6 months to under 8 years) is $95.
