Olivia is a wonderful female mixed breed, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing around 40 lbs. She was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico, in September 2023, after being found in a dire condition. Olivia is believed to have a spinal or hip injury and was sadly abandoned by her owners. She endured being left on the streets, malnourished, and covered in ticks, leading to a fearful and distrustful demeanor. Thankfully, she received immediate veterinary care and has since blossomed in her foster home.
Olivia is a remarkably clean, affectionate, and incredibly adorable dog who brings joy and humor to her foster family. Despite her past trauma, she remains a happy and independent dog, seemingly unaware of any limitations. She cherishes her current situation, showing immense gratitude for a warm bed, regular meals, and loving attention. Olivia is playful, full of life, and eager to share her boundless love and happiness with her forever family.
Ideal Home
We are looking for a family willing to give Olivia the time and patience to adjust, understanding that rescued pets may need up to three months to show their true personality. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. Ideally, adopters will have an understanding of the needs of rescued street animals and a background in dog behavior and training, offering a high level of tolerance and patience. Olivia is best suited as the "only dog" in the household.
Ongoing Health
Olivia is up-to-date on all her medical treatments. She has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Olivia is not house-trained. Her foster family has been diligently working on her rehabilitation, but due to the sheer number of rescued animals, consistent house-training for each one is a significant challenge. Adopters should be prepared to continue her training and provide consistent guidance and education.

Transporation
Olivia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States. Transportation is available for an additional fee of $400.00, which covers transport services by a dedicated company, delivering directly to the adopter's home address.
