Ferka is a charming Chihuahua, about 4 years old and weighing around 9 lbs. She's a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Ferka was found near a church, comfortable among people and playful with other dogs, which perfectly describes her sweet and social nature. She's crate-trained, travels well in the car, and is friendly with everyone – dogs, children, men, and women, including strangers. Ferka is affectionate, loves to play, and showers her people with kisses. She thrives on attention and being part of the family activities.
Ideal Home
Ferka would do best in a home with tolerant, playful dogs, or with careful supervision, as her high energy can sometimes be a bit much for other dogs. She cannot live with cats, as she tends to chase them. A fenced backyard is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Ferka has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. She is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra.
Training & Support
Ferka is not house-trained. She may require patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new environment, which is crucial for rescued animals. Families should be prepared to offer guidance with love and potentially hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential.

Transporation
Ferka is currently in Saltillo, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast of the US. Transport is door-to-door and includes a one-time fee of $400 USD. Our transport company will travel from Montana to Mexico to pick up adopted pets and escort them across the border into Texas. You will receive real-time updates during the journey in a private Facebook Messenger group.
