Mocha is living proof that the funniest dogs aren't always the loudest. She has a favorite chair where she watches TV, chases backyard bugs and indoor dust bunnies, and gives an adorable half-bark instead of a full one. Once she trusts you, she's the sweetest cuddlebug!
Mocha is a beautiful 7-month-old Pit Bull/Boxer mix who currently weighs about 36 pounds and will likely top out around 45 pounds. She's got the cutest brindle coat, an even cuter personality, and enough goofy little quirks to keep you smiling every single day. Mocha loves squeaky toys, firmly believes stuffed animals are meant to be de-stuffed, and can entertain herself for quite a while chasing pretty much anything that moves. She has a medium energy level and enjoys playing in the backyard every bit as much as curling up next to you for pets and snuggles.
One important thing to know about Mocha: she can be a little unsure of new people, unfamiliar places, and even car rides. For her, feeling safe comes before anything else. Give her the time and patience to settle in, and her goofy, affectionate personality will shine through (and it's worth the wait!). Once she's comfortable, the fun begins.
Ideal Home
Mocha needs a home where she feels safe and has the opportunity to build trust. A fenced yard is a must, as she is more confident exploring and playing in a contained space than on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs and has done well with cats, happily backing off when they let her know they've had enough.
Ongoing Health
Mocha's adoption fee of $175 includes her spay, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
Training & Support
Mocha is crate trained, about 90% house trained, and already knows commands like "come," "kennel," "eat," and "this way." She responds especially well to praise, reassurance, and training treats. While she can be unsure of new situations, patience and understanding will help her trust shine through. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night but looks forward to morning snuggles after her first potty break.
