Meet Carmi! This sweet girl was rescued from the streets of Tijuana, Mexico, when she was found to be pregnant and about to give birth. A kind citizen prepared a safe space for her, and thankfully, Carmi and her seven pups were soon after taken in by a loving foster family. Carmi has been spayed and is a very healthy girl! She's recently moved to a temporary foster home with other dogs and cats, but due to her prey drive, she'll need a home without cats or other small creatures. She is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, sexes, and ages. Carmi is crate, house, and potty trained. She does get car sick, but a medication given before a drive helps tremendously. She enjoys car rides and loves visiting the dog park. Carmi is very friendly with people and dogs, both on and off leash, and enjoys socializing. While she's not a big barker, she will alert you if something is going on. She would make a great companion for retirees, working adults, or families with children, as she adored the young children in her previous foster home.
Ideal Home
A home with no cats or other small creatures due to her prey drive. She is wonderful with dogs of all types.
Ongoing Health
Carmi is spayed and fully vetted and is a very healthy girl. She can experience car sickness, but it is managed with medication.
Training & Support
Carmi is crate, house, and potty trained. She enjoys socialization and is good on leash walks. Basic dog training for commands like "sit" and "stay" would be beneficial as she has never had a formal family before.
