Pooh

Pooh is a sweet boy who has made incredible progress in his foster home, but he still needs a patient and loving family to help him continue to blossom. He's a bit timid and hand-shy, but he deeply desires affection and companionship. Pooh is believed to be brothers with Tigger, and while they can be separated, it would be wonderful if they could find a home together. Seeing Pooh play with familiar dogs is a joy – his tail wags furiously, and he bounces with pure happiness! He truly thrives outdoors and needs a fenced yard where he can safely explore, sniff, and birdwatch. Pooh can be a flight risk until he feels secure in his new environment, making a secure yard essential. He has shown to be great with children aged 12 and up and is also comfortable with cats. Pooh was heartworm positive but has successfully completed treatment. With a little patience and a lot of love, Pooh will undoubtedly reward his new family with immense devotion.

Ideal Home

Pooh needs a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore his love for the outdoors. He would also benefit greatly from having another dog in the home to play with and learn from. He is doing well with children aged 12 and up and is fine with cats.

Ongoing Health

Pooh has been treated for heartworm.

Training & Support

Pooh is still working on building trust with humans and can be hand-shy. He requires gentle interactions, slower movements, and a lot of positive reinforcement and attention. He thrives with the companionship of other dogs.
