A little about them
Bandit is a sweet, energetic Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who loves fetch, smiles when happy, and has plenty to say. He was trapped as a stray and was never claimed by an owner.
Ideal Home
Bandit is best suited for a country home familiar with the needs and rewards of heelers. He gets along with other dogs, though he can be a ball hog and would do best with a doggy friend who understands that. He has gently tried to herd children in his foster home. He has not been cat tested.
Ongoing Health
Bandit's $350 adoption fee includes the vaccines he has received, neuter surgery, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Bandit is fully house trained, though he may occasionally piddle when nervous. He sleeps well in his bed without accidents and does not chew household items that do not belong to him. He struggles with going into his kennel and is not currently crated at night. He walks well on leash, though he needs time to adjust to your pace, and he could make a great running buddy. He barks when strangers first enter but warms up quickly, including with new dogs. He is not aggressive and has not exhibited food guarding.
