Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a difficult situation. She was part of a large hoarding case, which meant she didn't get the early socialization and experiences that most puppies do. Despite this challenging start, Raquel is a sweet girl with an incredibly big heart who is eager to learn and trust. She can be a little unsure of new things at first, needing a moment to process and adjust, but she's making wonderful progress every day and is well past being shut down. She's gaining confidence rapidly and is ready to continue her journey in the right home.

Ideal Home

Raquel will be a large dog, likely exceeding 100 pounds when fully grown, so a home prepared for her size is essential. A securely fenced yard is a must. She is good with other dogs and cats. Due to her sensitive nature and developing confidence, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10.

Ongoing Health

Raquel is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Because Raquel is inexperienced with typical household activities, indoor living, and leash walking, she will benefit from patience, routine, and consistency. A confident, friendly resident dog would be a tremendous asset, providing her with a positive role model to learn from and feel secure with as she builds her own confidence.
