Tommy is a resilient and loving 3-year-old Terrier Mix who weighs 40 pounds. He has endured a difficult past, arriving at the shelter with severe pressure sores on his hips and significantly underweight. Despite his challenges, Tommy maintained a positive spirit and a love for people. Thanks to the dedication of our veterinary team, a generous donor, and our committed animal care staff, Tommy has made a remarkable recovery. He's gained nearly 20 pounds, his sores have healed, and his spirit is returning. He's now ready to leave his past behind and find a loving family who will cherish him unconditionally. Tommy is a laid-back companion who enjoys his time outdoors, often engrossed in sniffing around. He seems to enjoy basking in the sun and doesn't mind sharing play areas with other dogs or children, preferring to do his own thing. He's gentle when taking treats and walks beautifully on a leash. While not perfectly potty trained, he is very good about using the designated outdoor area of his run. Tommy has developed a fondness for a thick blanket to sleep on, so a comfy bed would be a wonderful addition to his new home. He's also quite vocal when he wants attention or a treat!
Ideal Home
