Peony

Peony is a dog who just radiates sunshine! This girl is the happiest, wiggliest, and most hilarious pup, always ready to share her abundance of silliness and love. She's a 5ish-year-old, 45lb Staffie mix who has never met a stranger and is fantastic with people, kids, dogs, and cats. Peony loves to greet everyone with kisses and wiggles. She's gentle and loving with toddlers and has a playful spirit that she can adjust to match other dogs, big or small. She's also great with cats, having lived with two in her foster home without issue.

Ideal Home

Peony thrives on routine and structure. She'll do best in a home that can provide her with plenty of guidance, including "place" training for impulse control and settling, crate training, and proper exercise. Without these, she can get overstimulated.

Ongoing Health

Peony is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for her forever home in mid-August.

Training & Support

Peony is still working on loose-leash walking, as she gets excited about life! Her adopter should be dedicated to consistent training, and our rescue offers various training resources to help adopters succeed. She is potty trained and crate trained, though an adjustment period is expected with any new dog.

Transporation

Peony is currently fostered in Houston, TX. We work with trusted transport partners to transport our dogs to over 30 cities in the United States. Adopters are also welcome to pick up their new furry friend in Houston. Once an adoption is confirmed, our team will work with you to arrange the best transport schedule.
