Meet Gina!

Gina is a spirited 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at 56lbs. She was found as a tiny puppy, abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road. Thankfully, a loving foster home has given her a second chance at finding a family to call her own. Gina is a smart and playful pup who adores her canine companions, especially when it comes to a game of tug-of-war. She enjoys collecting her toys and keeping herself entertained. She's also a fan of fetch and is learning to enjoy interactive play with her humans.

Ideal Home

Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who can provide daily play and mental stimulation. She would do well with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) as she can be jumpy and doesn't realize her size. She'd also be happy with a couple or an individual. A home with another dog would be wonderful for her, and we recommend a cat-free environment as she can get a bit too excited by neighborhood kitties.

Ongoing Health

Gina is a healthy young dog with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Gina is house and crate trained and can be left crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat her treats alone and is still in the "puppy velociraptor" stage, meaning she'll need guidance on appropriate chew toys. Adopters should be prepared to provide consistent socialization and positive reinforcement training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.

Gina is currently in Houston, TX, and can be transported out of state to approved adopters. Transports depart every few weeks.
