Turkey

Turkey is a resilient and loving young male dog who has overcome significant challenges. He came into rescue last fall with a badly healed broken leg/hip. After an unsuccessful first surgery and increasing pain, his damaged leg was amputated last winter, which has made all the difference! Turkey is now pain-free and can run, play, and enjoy life to the fullest. He loves to sunbathe, lounge in the shade watching for bugs and frogs, and keep an eye on his humans. Turkey rides well in the car and is a fantastic cuddler. He's been in rescue for almost a year and is a very special boy ready for his forever home.

Ideal Home

Turkey does have a prey drive and has been known to chase cats and even an opossum out of the yard. Because of this, he would do best in a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Turkey's leg amputation was a success, and he is now pain-free. He is spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Turkey is house-trained. He rides great in the car and loves to cuddle.
