About Archer
Archer is looking for his forever home, and this boy is worth every wiggle!
At just 47 pounds and around 2 years old, Archer is the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. What stands out most about him? His pure, goofy, wholehearted happiness. He wakes up every day ready to love life, love his people, and make everyone around him smile. Archer is fully house-trained with no accidents and is a respectful boy in the house. He loves his toys but doesn't destroy them, and while he may gather your shoes into little piles, he never chews them—he simply likes having your scent nearby. He's an active, medium-to-high energy dog who loves running through the yard, rolling in the grass, and showing off just how high he can jump. In fact, Archer is quite the athlete and can climb over baby gates, so he'll need a secure home with a tall, flat-panel fence to keep him safe. When introduced properly, Archer does wonderfully with other dogs. He's especially smitten with his foster brother, Tango. Archer showers him with kisses, sits in front of him practically vibrating with excitement, and if Tango isn't convinced to play, Archer starts rolling around in the grass like the biggest goofball you've ever seen. He has the sweetest little quirks, too. Scratch him just right on the neck, and he'll reward you with the cutest piggy grunts you've ever heard. And don't let any flying bugs near him—he considers it his personal mission to catch them midair. Thunderstorms are scary for Archer, which isn't surprising considering someone cruelly shot him with a BB gun before he was rescued. Despite everything he's endured, Archer hasn't shown aggression toward anyone. His heart is still wide open, and he continues to trust, love, and greet the world with joy. Archer isn't looking for perfection—he's looking for someone willing to be his bridge. Someone who will help guide this sweet, goofy, affectionate boy into the amazing dog he's meant to be. If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a loyal best friend who will happily cuddle on the couch after a day of fun, Archer is ready to fill that role. Could you be the person who gives Archer the happy ending he deserves?
Ideal Home
Archer needs a secure home with a tall, flat-panel fence due to his athleticism.
Ongoing Health
Archer was previously shot with a BB gun, but this has not affected his temperament.
Training & Support
Archer needs continued training with leash walking because he's strong and enthusiastic. He would also benefit from structure and learning a solid "place" command when visitors arrive.
