Hi there! I'm Artimiss, a 4-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines despite having only three legs. I came to Fayette County Animal Rescue after an injury, but I'm not letting that slow me down one bit! I'm a master cuddler and love to lounge on the couch. When it's time to sleep, I'm happy to settle into my crate and rest peacefully. I'm looking for a special family to call my own and share all my love with!
Ideal Home
I would love a home with rugs or carpeting to help me navigate, especially if there are stairs. A securely fenced yard is a must for my safety, and I would do best in a home without cats or other small animals, as I can get a little too enthusiastic around them. I'm a bit particular about my doggy friends, so a proper introduction would be necessary.
Ongoing Health
I'm eligible for a Senior Dog Adoption Reimbursement Program, where Fayette County Animal Rescue will cover up to $300 per year for wellness exams, annual vaccinations, and heartworm prevention. I'll need to see your veterinarian for these services, and you can submit receipts for reimbursement.
Training & Support
I'm a well-behaved girl who enjoys quiet time and cuddles. I sleep soundly in my crate and don't make a fuss when left alone after playtime.

- Health certificate fee: $25.00
- A video of your entire fenced yard is required to show there are no holes or gaps (invisible fences are not accepted).
- A veterinary reference is needed to verify you're up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention for current/previous pets. If you don't have a veterinary history, you'll need to purchase a 3-month supply of heartworm prevention from our vet.
- If you rent, please provide verification from your landlord regarding pet acceptability and any restrictions.
