Wishbone is a handsome 1-2 year old, 50 lb mixed breed boy with a heart full of love and a desire to please! He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in North Carolina where his breed put him at risk. Since coming into our care, Wishbone has been given the time, resources, and training to help him thrive. He's a smart, confident pup who is eager to learn and responds well to structure and guidance. Wishbone is a loyal companion who will bond deeply with his person and be the best boy he can be. He's been working with Delmarva K9 and has been a perfect student, showing how much he values respect. If you're looking for a devoted pup and are willing to provide the guidance he deserves, Wishbone might be your perfect match!
Ideal Home
Wishbone would do best with an experienced owner who can continue his training and provide clear boundaries. He is great with kids 10+ due to his strength and playfulness. He is not recommended for homes with cats due to his prey drive and is recommended to be an only dog as he can be selective with other dogs and has a rough play style. While he doesn't require a fenced yard, he would likely enjoy one that is 4ft or higher.

Wishbone has no known medical needs.
Training & Support
Wishbone is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks well on a leash with a prong collar, though he can be distracted by squirrels and birds, he responds well to corrections. He is good in the car and patient when waiting to be let out. To help Wishbone get started in his new home, his adoption fee includes some training sessions with his new family.
