Lluvia is a sweet and playful 8-month-old Labrador mix with a happy, energetic personality. She's a medium-sized girl, weighing 16 lbs but expected to reach a comfortable 32-38 lbs. Lluvia is social with other dogs, men, and women, and she approaches strangers with curiosity and confidence. She absolutely loves to run, jump, and play, especially with her favorite toys, and she happily accepts pets and cuddles. Lluvia doesn't show any aggressive behavior, and while she might be a little cautious in new situations, she never bites. She's a joyful girl ready to grow, learn, and share her life with a forever family.
Ideal Home
Lluvia would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs of rescued animals, including their potential need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential. She requires high tolerance and patience.
Ongoing Health
Lluvia has received a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccinations, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm). She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that Lluvia, like many rescued dogs, may not be house-trained. She will need time and patience to adjust to her new environment and learn new routines. Building trust and a strong bond will be key.

Transporation
Lluvia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip if adopted. Door-to-door delivery is available through a partnered transport company. These scheduled trips occur 3-4 times a year and include a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. Each pet receives comprehensive paperwork, including a transport contract, health certificate from the USDA, and health protocol certificates. Updates on your pet's journey will be provided in a private Facebook Messenger group.
