Meet Ponderosa, or "Pondsy" as we lovingly call him! This almost-2-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd/Lab mix is pure sunshine and joy wrapped in a shiny black coat. Pondsy's signature "Pondsy Wiggle" and furiously wagging tail are sure to greet you every time you come home, especially if belly rubs are involved! He's a curious and silly pup who loves to be included in all your adventures, whether it's a hike, a car ride, or just cuddling on the couch after a day of fun. Pondsy is also a social butterfly who adores other dogs and would thrive with a playful, medium-energy female canine companion, though he'd also be happy to be your one and only furry friend.
Ideal Home
Pondsy is best suited for a home without cats and without young children, as they can be a bit overwhelming for him. Teenagers (13+) and adults will find a devoted and loving companion in Pondsy. He could adapt to apartment living (first floor preferred) if provided with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, but a yard for zoomies would be a dream come true!
Ongoing Health
Pondsy is a resilient boy who has undergone leg surgery and physical therapy. While his back leg has a unique charm now, it doesn't hinder his love for running, playing, and zooming.
Training & Support
Pondsy is ready to continue learning and growing with his forever family. Our team works on crate training, potty training, and leash walking to set him up for success.

Pondsy is currently located in Texas. We offer nationwide transport with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up points in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from our Houston area location.
