Hi there! I'm Masyn, named after Cardinals' shortstop Masyn Winn (my foster dad is a Cubs fan, but he knew better). I'm a 12-year-old Certified Very Good Boi. My breed is a bit of a mystery - maybe Mastiff, maybe Boxer, maybe a little of this and a little of that - but what really matters is that I'm 100% sweetheart. I get along with everyone: dogs, cats, kids, and just about any human willing to offer a kind word and a gentle scratch behind the ears. At this stage of my life, I've fully embraced the fine art of relaxation. I'm a gentle giant, a professional couch potato (although getting on the couch is a bit beyond my pay grade these days), and an expert companion for quiet evenings at home. I don't need long walks, endless entertainment, or a packed social calendar. I'm perfectly happy hanging out nearby, leaning against you for pets, and enjoying your company. I do have arthritis, and it's pretty significant, so I take a couple of medications to help keep me comfortable. Don't worry - I take them like a champ, especially when they're wrapped in turkey. I may move a little slower these days, but I still enjoy life's important adventures, like car rides to get my nails trimmed, stopping for a pup cup, or making an emergency run for chickie nuggies. I just need a little help getting into the car. If you're looking for a young, energetic dog who wants to run marathons, I'm probably not your guy. But if you're looking for a calm, loving companion who will quietly steal your heart and remind you every day that senior dogs are something special, I would love to meet you. I may be in my golden years, but I still have plenty of love left to give.

Masyn is looking for a home where he can continue his love of relaxation. He enjoys quiet evenings and doesn't need extensive entertainment or exercise.
Ongoing Health
Masyn has significant arthritis and takes daily medications to manage his discomfort. He takes his medication well, especially when given with a treat.
Training & Support
Masyn is a well-behaved senior who is happy to just hang out. He may need a little assistance getting into cars.
