Miss Molly is a 9-month-old, 15.4 lb female Dachshund mix with a beautiful red coat. She's spayed and microchipped. Molly's journey began in less-than-ideal circumstances, chained outside with minimal interaction. Thankfully, she was rescued and is now blossoming into a sweet and affectionate dog who loves to be by her human's side. While still a bit jumpy, she craves attention and will happily snuggle on the bed or lounge in a chair. Molly is a playful pup who enjoys shredding paper (she's selective, favoring sale ads!) and hoarding her toys and bones. She's also quite clever and has been known to scale gates if left unsupervised. Despite her past, Molly is adapting well to her foster home with other dogs and is learning quickly. She's showing more of her loving heart every day and has so much potential to continue thriving!
Ideal Home
Molly would prefer a home with a yard. She could potentially live in an apartment if it's in a quiet area. Due to her size, older children are recommended. She doesn't necessarily need another dog in the home, but she is good with other dogs. Her ability to climb gates means she should not be left unsupervised.
Ongoing Health
Molly is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Molly is house-trained and crate-trained. She walks on a leash and is getting better. She is not food aggressive and is not destructive, though she does like to tear paper. She is learning not to climb over gates when unsupervised. We offer 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
