Meet Rac! This handsome 62 lb Husky mix, born around March 11, 2023, has adorable markings that remind us of a raccoon, hence his name! Rac is an outgoing and active boy who radiates happiness, especially when he's zooming around with his doggy friends or playing fetch with his foster dad. He loves long walks and exploring new places, and while he's a bit shy about getting into the car, he thoroughly enjoys the ride once he's in! Rac's past was tough, as he was rescued from a harsh winter freeze where he had no shelter. Fortunately, his foster dad found him and brought him into a loving home. He even spent time with a trainer to help him adjust to indoor living. Rac is doing wonderfully with his foster siblings (dogs only, as he's a bit too energetic for cats!) and his foster dad says he's a very sweet boy who soaks up all the attention he can get.
Ideal Home
Rac would be happiest in an active home where he can go on hikes, play with other energetic dogs, and cuddle with his loved ones.

Rac is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Rac is kennel and potty trained and dog friendly. He can be a little shy at first, but with patience and trust, he becomes a lifelong best friend.

Transportation
Rac is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be coordinated to various locations in Eastern and Western states. Adopters can track their dog's transport via the Life360 app or Facebook chats.
