Reece

Reece is a handsome 3-year-old sable German Shepherd who came to us from a difficult situation. He was a bit shut down and scared when he first arrived, but with a lot of patience and love, he's blossomed! Reece is now feeling much more comfortable and even seeks out attention from his trusted people. He's gained some much-needed weight and has a good appetite. He also loves to play chase, especially with puppies!

Ideal Home

Reece would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with an adopter who is very patient and experienced with shy German Shepherds or other large breed working dogs. A home without cats or other small animals is a must.

Ongoing Health

Reece is a healthy boy who has made great strides in our care.

Training & Support

Reece is still a little hesitant about car rides and leash walking, but he's improving every day! He feels safe in his crate, but would prefer a home where he isn't crated for extended periods. He isn't showing much interest in toys yet, but we're hopeful that will change with time. Positive reinforcement-based obedience training would be beneficial once he's settled and trusts his new family.
