🌟 Meet Kanela — Sweet, Spicy, and So Ready for Her Person 🌟

Kanela (“Cinnamon”) is a gorgeous, joyful girl with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. She’s medium‑high energy, loves toys and chew bones, and would thrive with an active human who enjoys running, hiking, or outdoor exploring.

She’s dog‑social but can be a confident alpha with other females, and she needs an experienced owner who understands her personality. Kanela is a distemper survivor (caught and treated early), healthy, loving, and deeply bonded to her people. Because she can be unpredictable at times, she’s not suited for homes with small children.

Kanela needs a house with a yard — no condos or apartments — and we’ll be selective to ensure she gets the perfect match. She is one of the most affectionate dogs in our care and has so much love to give.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

⚠️ It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border — this remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward. 🐾✈️❤️
