Lessie

Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl who is ready for a second chance at a loving home. Lessie was found tied to the fence at our shelter in Mexico, but despite her difficult past, she is incredibly sweet and enjoys the company of other dogs. She's made great progress with our trainers and is gaining confidence daily, even becoming a pro on the leash! The shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for her, so she's looking for a patient and experienced adopter who can help her feel safe and secure.

Ideal Home

Lessie would thrive in a quiet, calm, and predictable environment. She'd do best in a home with teens or adults, and a big yard or an active lifestyle with plenty of hiking would be perfect for her. Another friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful addition to her new family.

Lessie is potty trained and leash trained.

Lessie is a bit nervous at first, but with patience and understanding, she'll blossom into a confident companion.

Transportation

Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada, working with flight companions to bring dogs to their new families from Puerto Vallarta. If a Canadian flight companion isn't available during the summer months, arrangements can be made for dogs to fly into the US, with adopters meeting them at Peace Arch Park at the border. Volunteers have successfully assisted with border transports during the summer.
