About 743 (2026) Jenny

Jenny is a truly special girl who has overcome a lot. She's a 2-year-old sweetheart who was found as a stray with an injured front leg, which sadly required amputation. Despite this, Jenny has shown incredible resilience and has adapted beautifully to life on three legs. She's a calm and affectionate dog who clearly craves love and attention. Her foster mom describes her as a "dream girl," and it's easy to see why. Jenny is eager to please and forms deep bonds with her humans, showering them with affection. She's also a great companion, enjoying gentle play and even participating in family activities like bike rides.

Ideal Home

Jenny would thrive in a home with older children (ages 3-5) or adults who can appreciate her calm demeanor. She's not a fan of hyperactive dogs, so a quieter canine companion or a home with no other dogs would be ideal. She also gently herds ducks, so a home without them might be best. A family that is home often would be perfect for Jenny, as she loves to be by her human's side. While she does well on deck stairs, any stairs in the home should be carpeted for her safety, and rugs are a must on hard floors to provide her with stability.

Ongoing Health

Jenny is recovering from her leg amputation surgery. Dogs with limb loss can be prone to early arthritis, so maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for her long-term well-being.

Training & Support

Jenny is already potty-trained and doesn't require a crate. She enjoys chasing a ball but is otherwise a well-behaved girl who doesn't chew inappropriate items. She's doing well on short walks and will need continued work to build her endurance for longer walks to help manage her weight. Gentle communication and soft tones seem to be the key to winning Jenny's heart.
