MISHA (FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT)

Misha is a 4-year-old, 30lb Bully Mix with a gentle and sensitive nature. She arrived in our care as a stray and is still learning to navigate the world. The shelter environment has been overwhelming for her, and she can be timid in new situations, but she is a sweet dog who is trying her best. Misha prefers to take things slow with people, but with patience and calm energy, she will approach for gentle pets and is tolerant of handling. She has shown appropriate, neutral behavior with other dogs and may benefit from a calm canine companion to help her feel more secure.

Ideal Home

Misha would do best in an experienced, patient home that understands shy dogs. She needs a quiet environment where she can decompress and build confidence. She would do well with older, dog-savvy children who can respect her boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Misha is up to date on core vaccines. She is not yet spayed, but this will be completed once she is in rescue.

Training & Support

Misha will need support with basic training, including leash skills and housetraining. She pulls on leash and may try to retreat when unsure, so a secure handler and consistent training approach will be key. A predictable routine and a safe space, such as a crate, will help her succeed.

Misha is currently in Hamilton, Ontario. We are a foster-based rescue in the GTA, and transportation can be arranged for approved fosters.
