Stormie

Meet Stormie, a young and resilient Australian Shepherd mix who embodies strength and a love for life! Stormie endured a traumatic experience involving a coyote snare, which caused significant injuries to her head and muzzle. Despite the immense pain and the doubts of many, she bravely fought for her survival. Thanks to the dedication of a compassionate individual, Stormie received extensive treatment, including hydrotherapy, and slowly began her recovery. She arrived at Animatch in June, already a proven fighter. While she may drool a bit more than the average dog, it doesn't diminish her zest for everything a happy young dog should enjoy. At just over a year old and weighing around 66 lbs, Stormie is full of energy and ready for all the adventures life has to offer, from long walks and car rides to playtime and belly rubs.

Ideal Home

Stormie would thrive in an active home with children 8 years and older. She has shown herself to be dog-friendly and is eager for a family who can provide her with plenty of love and stimulation.

Ongoing Health

Stormie has a few physical scars from her past ordeal, and you may notice she drools a little more than other dogs. These are simply reminders of her incredible journey and do not hinder her ability to enjoy life to the fullest.

Training & Support

As an adolescent dog, Stormie would benefit greatly from continued training and guidance. She is bright, affectionate, and loves interacting with people. Enrolling in training classes will not only help her learn new skills but also strengthen the bond with her new family.
