Meet Hachi!
This resilient boy is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. For most of his life, Hachi knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel, having been rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite this, his heart remained soft, and he is a total love bug. Hachi greets life with a wagging tail, a gentle spirit, and a genuine love for people. He adores spending time with his humans, is wonderful with kids, and has never met a stranger he didn't want to be friends with. He truly treasures the simple things many dogs take for granted, like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with family. Before his rescue, he had never even had a dog bed and slept on wooden slats. If you met him today, you'd never know it; he's one resilient little guy! He loves car rides and would be thrilled to join you on adventures. We consider him a medium-energy dog; he's always up for fun but just as happy to relax next to you. After spending so much of his life in a kennel, Hachi deserves to spend the rest of it forgetting one ever existed.
Ideal Home
Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He rides great in the car and would love to join you on adventures.
Ongoing Health
After being underfed for years, Hachi is still working on gaining weight. His ideal weight is probably closer to 60 lbs, so bring on the treats!
Training & Support
Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. While he does best with slow introductions to other dogs, once he trusts another pup, he's all in. He tends to do better with confident dogs; with more timid ones, he sometimes tries to play the "big tough guy" and see who's boss.

Transportation
