Meet our girl Shortcake! She is the sweetest slice of puppy goodness you will ever come across! At just 1 year old, this adorable tan short haired mixed breed is proof that good things come in small, shy packages, though she is starting to come out of her shell faster than you can say treat. Shortcake currently weighs 34 pounds making her a medium sized pup. Shortcake arrived at the rescue with what we believe is her sister, and together they are on a journey to find a family that loves a little mellow mischief. While she has got a gentle, reserved personality, do not let that fool you, she has got a playful side that is just waiting to shine, especially when it involves snuggling. Shortcake enjoys the company of other dogs and children. Her favorite activity? Getting pets from everyone who greets her, she is basically a professional cuddle enthusiast in training. Shortcake has not had the opportunity to meet any cats, so it is unknown how she will be with them.
Ideal Home
Shortcake is looking for a family that understands her gentle spirit and is patient as she continues to blossom. A home with a calm environment, plenty of love, and maybe a sibling or two to play with would be perfect.
Ongoing Health
The adoption fee of $500 includes spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, and rescue fees.
Training & Support
Shortcake has already mastered her house, crate and leash training. Although she is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Dogs thrive on structure and routine, and they adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability.
