Rio is a beautiful, young Shepherd mix with a potential hint of Whippet, making her as graceful as she is smart. Born around May 1, 2025, she currently weighs about 30 pounds and is growing into her lean, athletic build, with an expected adult size of medium. Rescued from an abandoned home in Texas, Rio is a resilient, friendly, and gentle soul who's ready to be your devoted companion. She's a quick learner and is doing wonderfully with house and crate training, even working on ringing a bell to signal when she needs to go outside! Rio is great with other dogs and would love a canine friend to share playtime and adventures, but it's not a requirement. She's also been gentle and friendly with children and is mastering her leash manners. While she can be a little reserved initially, Rio blossoms daily, revealing her affectionate and loyal personality. Her foster family describes her as super smart, eager to please, and full of potential, ready to thrive with a family excited to continue her journey of learning and growth. Rio would make a wonderful companion for an active person or family looking for a bright, loving dog to share life's adventures with.
