About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Dahlia Daisy Flower is a 10-month-old, 35-pound "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as delicate and beautiful as her namesake flower. She's a sweet, silly, snuggly, and fun pup who is excellent in public and enjoys adventures. Dahlia is a fantastic copilot in the car, not anxious at all and enjoys the ride. Mealtime is one of Dahlia's favorite times of the day, and she has a great appetite but takes her time eating. She does not overreact if another dog approaches her bowl, but separate eating spaces are encouraged in multi-dog homes. When the day is done, Dahlia settles beautifully in her crate at night without a peep. This took some time to establish the routine, and it is expected that this will need to be re-established in her new home. Though, eventually, she would love to be able to share the bed with her humans.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would be happiest with another playful dog in the home, or the opportunity to regularly visit doggy daycare if her people work full-time outside of the home. She is a very dog-social girl who lives for the companionship of other canines. She could absolutely live in a dog-friendly apartment or condo, as long as she receives plenty of exercise. Homes with shared walls should be aware that Dahlia will cry in her crate at first when left alone, though she does settle eventually. We think she would likely do very well with respectful children 8 and up who will play with her. We can arrange an overnight cat test if needed.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Dahlia is crate and house trained. She is near perfect on leash, unless a squirrel is in the vicinity. She enjoys zoomies and walks, and loves to swim in creeks or rivers. She enjoys playing fetch with pine cones and carrying sticks.
