Evelyn

Meet Evelyn! She's an adorable 5-year-old female Shih Tzu who was recently released from a breeder and is beginning her journey of discovering just how wonderful life as a beloved pet can be. This sweet girl is still a bit reserved when it comes to playtime and affection, but we're already seeing her confidence grow. As she settles in and realizes she's safe, we expect her personality to continue blossoming. Evelyn enjoys chewing on toys and is comfortable around other small dogs, although she hasn't quite figured out the whole playing with friends thing yet.

Ideal Home

Evelyn will require a securely fenced yard.

Ongoing Health

Evelyn is scheduled for her spay and dental on July 14th.

Training & Support

Evelyn is making excellent progress with her potty training. With a structured schedule and frequent trips outside, she has had only one accident in foster care. Her future family will need to continue that routine to help her succeed. She currently sleeps quietly in a kennel at night and in an x-pen during the day whenever she cannot be supervised. She has not yet started leash training, but that will be introduced over the coming weeks as her confidence continues to grow.
