Prince

Prince is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, a magnificent 130-pound bundle of pure Pyr. He's a classic guardian, always aware of his surroundings and taking his role as neighborhood security very seriously. You can expect him to alert you to everything from the Amazon driver to a passing squirrel or a neighbor's dog, and he appreciates your understanding of this important work. Prince is wonderful with his family and has a silly, fun side to him. He's also respectful of strangers. He enjoys playtime, which for this large working breed, involves brief, dramatic bursts of energy followed by a full collapse.

Ideal Home

Prince needs adopters who truly understand and appreciate the Great Pyrenees breed and all its unique traits. He requires a securely fenced yard and is not trustworthy off-leash. He would do best in a home with teenagers or older children.

Ongoing Health

Prince has selective hearing, only responding to what aligns with his priorities.

Training & Support

Prince is not an obedience champion; he is independent, thoughtful, and comfortable making his own decisions. He sheds, barks at things he sees, and exhibits typical Great Pyrenees behaviors. He will sulk if told he's been bad. He is house-trained and well-mannered in the home, making him a joy for the right people.
