George

Meet George! George is a handsome adult male, a delightful blend of Labrador Retriever and Siberian Husky with a beautiful Tricolor coat. He arrived as a stray but quickly charmed us with his knowledge of "sit" and "shake." George is a dog with a lot of spirit and energy, and he's looking for someone to help him channel that enthusiasm in a positive way. He can be a bit anxious in the kennel environment, so he's dreaming of a calm, relaxed home where his people are around most of the time. George experiences some separation anxiety, which is understandable given his past. He's a smart boy who enjoys a good game of fetch and tug-of-war, and he's done well with other playful dogs. While we haven't had the chance to introduce him to cats yet, he would do best with adults and older, dog-savvy children due to his energetic nature. He may need a little refresher on house manners, as he hasn't been living in a home recently.

Ideal Home

George would thrive in a relaxed home where his humans are present for most of the day, helping to ease his separation anxiety. He is a bit too energetic for small children, so he would do best with adults and older, dog-savvy kids.

Ongoing Health

George is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

George would benefit from some leash training and consistent walks to help him manage his energy. A refresher on house behavior may also be needed.
