Tahoe Trailblazer is a handsome and athletic 1.5-year-old, 57 lb Shepherd mix who is happiest when he's part of the action! Whether it's a hike, a backyard hangout, or a training session, Tahoe thrives on engagement. He's smart, social, and eager to be your adventure buddy. His unique coat and stately posture are sure to turn heads, but his friendly and confident demeanor is what will truly win you over. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and loves to be involved with his people.

Ideal Home

Tahoe would do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of activity and enrichment. He is not a dog who wants to be left alone for long periods or just lounge around. He needs a home without cats, as his prey drive is too high. He also needs his canine companions to be over 25 lbs, as smaller dogs may be overwhelmed by his size and enthusiasm.

Ongoing Health

Tahoe is a healthy young dog. His adoption fee includes all vetting, vaccinations, preventative care, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Tahoe is a highly trainable and people-pleasing dog who responds well to guidance. He is eager to learn and will benefit from continued training and structure. While he can get a little enthusiastic in greetings, his foster family notes he responds well to corrections and guidance. He is social with other dogs and has shown the ability to learn appropriate play and boundaries.
