Dwayne is a friendly, social dog who enjoys attention and affection, especially from his favorite people. He's a smart cookie who knows "sit," "down," and "paw," and he'd love to show off his tricks for you! Dwayne enjoys a good romp and play, especially with dogs who appreciate a playful spirit. He's generally calm and well-behaved, even when a little nervous about loud noises or fast-moving cyclists, and he's curious and adventurous, enjoying exploring new scents.

Ideal Home

Dwayne would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of opportunities for walks and exploration. He does best with experienced handlers and would prefer a home without children. He enjoys the company of other playful dogs and can coexist happily with calmer canine friends.

Dwayne is treat-motivated and eager to please, though he can get very focused on other dogs, especially when he sees them in yards or walking by. He can pull on the leash and has shown reactive behaviors like barking and growling when encountering other reactive dogs. He's learning to politely ask for space and waits for play invitations when matched with the right partner. He doesn't enjoy water but is curious and adventurous, responsive to guidance, and can resist chasing squirrels.
