Meet Lacey, a delightful, petite adventurer with the social grace of a seasoned diplomat and the face of a cherub. At approximately a year and a half old and around 31 pounds, Lacey is the ideal size for both exciting excursions and cozy cuddles. She's likely a boxer/terrier mix, and her combination of traits makes her a truly exceptional companion. Lacey navigates interactions with other dogs of all sizes and personalities with remarkable ease, showing a mature and balanced approach to play and social dynamics. She's equally adept at bonding with humans, showering them with gentle affection and polite treat-taking. Her ability to switch between enthusiastic play and calm relaxation makes her an incredibly adaptable and easygoing dog.
Ideal Home
Lacey would thrive in a variety of homes. She could be a happy solo pup, soaking up all the attention, or she could do well with playful dog siblings. An active family who enjoys outings would suit her well, whether in an apartment with regular adventures or a home with a backyard. She has shown a surprisingly chill demeanor around cats, and while slow introductions are always recommended, she displays a lot of potential as a feline roommate. Lacey has not yet been officially tested with children, but her gentle, social, and affectionate nature suggests she would be a wonderful family dog. A kid-test can be arranged for interested adopters.
Ongoing Health
Lacey is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworm. She is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Lacey is crate trained, treat motivated, and walks beautifully on leash, responding well to guidance. Her trainers have assessed her behavior and provided support as needed, including socialization and crate training, preparing her for her future home.

Transportation
Lacey is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You will be able to track her journey in real-time, receive photo updates, and connect with fellow adopters via a private Facebook event page. A surcharge of $87 applies due to transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
