Sage is an adorable pup born in February 2025 with a sweet and loving personality. He's a happy, playful Boxer/Husky mix who loves spending time outdoors, especially playing with sticks! Sage is great with other dogs and enjoys romping and playing with the resident dog. He adores toys, with rope toys being his favorite! Sage is kennel trained and making great progress with potty training. While he may be a little shy around new people at first, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate side once he feels comfortable. Sage also loves being in the kitchen while you're cooking and has a particular fondness for vegetables! He is good around kids, though he's still learning and doesn't yet distinguish between dog toys and kid toys. Sage is a loving, playful, and loyal companion ready to find his forever home. Sage and his siblings were born in Texas and traveled to Nebraska with high hopes of finding their own special homes.
Ideal Home
Sage would thrive in a home with another dog his size or larger, as he enjoys having a playmate and has always lived with another dog.
Ongoing Health
Sage has a sensitive stomach and is currently on a Pro Plan EN Gastroenteric food. Car rides can also upset his tummy.
Training & Support
Sage is kennel trained and making great progress with potty training. He is still learning to distinguish between dog toys and kid toys.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- All adoptions require a completed adoption application.
- Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal's foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.
- If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal.
- We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit (virtual in some cases) during the application approval process.
- We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal's needs.
Transporation
The adoptions for all of our animals take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
