Athena is a bright-eyed, 1-year-old Terrier mix with an estimated DOB of May 2025. She currently weighs 35 pounds and is spayed. Athena and her siblings were found abandoned in the woods, a testament to her resilient spirit. She's a playful, curious, and affectionate young dog with a personality that shines, complete with zoomies! While she's made great strides in maturity, she's still embracing her puppy energy and needs a home ready for fun and enrichment. Athena loves to play with other dogs and is learning to understand social cues from her canine friends. She has a strong desire to interact and is eager to engage.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily physical exercise and mental enrichment, plenty of appropriate chew toys, and continued training and structure. She would also benefit from social interaction and companionship, as well as patience and consistency as she continues to mature. A home without cats may be ideal, but a cat-savvy home with slow introductions and clear boundaries may work.
Ongoing Health
Athena is a young dog with no specific health conditions noted.
Training & Support
Athena knows sit, down, drop it, and come, showing impressive progress with training. She is smart and eager to learn, continuing to thrive with positive reinforcement. As she is still in a chewing phase, she will need plenty of appropriate chew toys and continued guidance.
