Henry Chestnut

Henry is a handsome Shepherd/Carolina dog mix with a vibrant energy that rivals any puppy! At 7.5 years young, he's the ultimate "medium energy" companion, always up for a fun walk but just as happy to curl up indoors for a nap. Henry's story started with a close call, as he was on the city shelter's euthanasia list through no fault of his own. Since his rescue, he's shown us he's not just a survivor, but a total joy!

Ideal Home

Henry would love a home where he can be the center of someone's world. A retired person or someone working remotely would be his dream come true! While a yard is a plus, he does wonderfully on his walks and would be happy in any home that offers him love and consistency. He is dog friendly and could live in a home with or without another pup.

Ongoing Health

Henry is a healthy boy and has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Henry has recently completed an elite board and train program and has learned many new commands. He walks and listens like a pro and is very responsive to training. He is also a crate pro and transitions in and out of his crate with ease. He thrives on human connection and is affectionate and playful.

Henry is located at our facility in Garner, NC and can be transported to surrounding areas for approved adopters.
