Piper Squishy Lovebug

Meet Piper, the smiley, squishy-faced lovebug who seems incapable of not being adored! From the moment you meet her, she's all in, leaning her whole body into you for hugs and nudging for booty rubs. She sports a charming underbite that makes her look permanently thrilled to be alive, and she assumes everyone is already her best friend. Piper is estimated to be a 2-year-old Cane Corso/Boxer mix, and despite her tough-looking face, she's on the smaller side – pure squishy-faced perfection!

Ideal Home

Piper would absolutely love a yard for epic zoomie sessions, but apartment living is possible if her people are active and committed to daily walks, outings, and adventures. A cat-free home is a must, as Piper finds them much too interesting. While Piper has the potential to be a wonderful family dog due to her gentle, sweet, and people-loving nature, her enthusiastic "hugs" when excited mean a kid test will be required to ensure everyone's safety and success.

Ongoing Health

Piper is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Piper is smart and eager to please, making her very trainable. Currently, she's more interested in the world around her than perfecting her leash skills, so her adopters should be prepared to work on this. She also has a habit of giving enthusiastic hugs when excited, so guidance will be needed in this area. Our trainers on staff have assessed Piper and provided her with behavioral modification and individualized plans to help prepare her for a future family, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

• A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs.
• Adopters receive discounts on Embark DNA tests, pet insurance with Trupanion, a free dog training session with GoodPup, and other special perks.
• We facilitate adoptions nationwide and require a video call with your pet before finalization.

Transporation

Piper is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
