This black and brown lab mix takes a moment to warm up to unfamiliar faces, quietly observing the world around her before deciding it's safe to lean in. With her siblings, though, it's a different story. Ruthie loves to play, tumble, and be part of the fun, showing off a gentle, happy side that comes naturally when she feels comfortable. She's especially fond of snuggling up in a cozy puppy pile, and that same love extends to her people once she knows she can trust you. At around 11 lbs, Ruthie is a soft, affectionate companion who bonds deeply and loves quietly. She's the kind of puppy who doesn't just give love freely to everyone, but when she gives it to you, it really means something. Ongoing Health
Ruthie is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Like all puppies, Ruthie will need patience and consistency as she grows and gains confidence. Our on-site trainers assess and modify behavior as needed, creating individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking. Ruthie also participates in group training and socialization playgroups to help her stay confident, well-rounded, and adoption-ready.

Ruthie is located in the Houston area of Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pickup is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real-time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
